Our Special Gifts

Mrs. Longacre's Kindergarten class would like to share their video, "Our Special Gifts", with everyone.  If this does not make you smile, you probably are green and go by the name of "The Grinch"!

Mom's and Dad's...get your tissues ready!

Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

Summer Fun!

Moore Elementary is working hard to prepare the building for the return of the students in August.  We are also enjoying our summer vacation, which we hope you all are as well.  Be sure to read and practice your Math facts while you're relaxing, just to keep those skills active!

We will be posting the Homeroom assignments in early August, so please keep checking back to see when they'll be available.  Just to let everyone know, the schedule for students in Grades 3-5 will be slightly different in 2015-2016 than in past years...and your homeroom assignment is based on the first academic class you will attend that day.

Have a safe and fun summer!!

Flu Season is in Full Swing!

http://www.mcall.com/news/local/mc-flu-season-update-20150102-story.html

As we get ready for our return from Winter break, please take a moment to read this article about the impact of the Flu on the Lehigh Valley.

As Dr. Rhodes suggested...

"Adults infected with the flu are typically contagious for up to five days. Children, on the other hand, can be contagious for more than a week, which is why they are particularly effective viral vectors.

Rhodes stressed the need for parents to keep their sick children at home. "The worst thing somebody could do is send someone to school," he said. "It puts other people at risk."

Please heed this information, and keep other's health in mind before sending your child back to school too soon from illness (or while they are fighting illness). We are in this for the long-haul now!!

Hope you all had a heathy and happy Holiday season!
