Alex's Lemonade Stand

Moore Elementary School will be holding our annual "Alex's Lemonade Stand" during lunches on Tuesday, April 1st.  Lemonade will be available to our students and staff for $.25/cup.  Please feel free to send some change into school with your student(s) this day in order for them to participate in the lemonade stand.  Some teachers may send home specific instructions on how to send the money into school - so please be on the look out for that information to arrive home in your student's backpack/folder (especially the younger classes).

If you are interested in making a donation to the Alex's Lemonade Stand on behalf of Moore Elementary, please visit the following webpage:

Alex's Lemonade Stand was founded by Alex Scott, a courageous little girl who started her lemonade stand to raise money to help other children with cancer. Our school hopes to carry on her dream by holding our own lemonade stand in the spring and by taking donations. We thank you for your support of our students, our school, and our goal of helping children with cancer.

We thank you for your support!

Lehigh Valley IronPigs - "Paint the Pig" Contest

Ryan Kovach, one of our 5th Grade students here at Moore Elementary School, recently entered the Morning Call's "Paint the Pig" contest for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.  Well, we are excited to announce that Ryan is one of the top-five finalists!  His entry was featured in March 12th's Morning Call, and now he must rely on the online voting process to see if he will be determined the overall winner.

If you'd like, you can enter a vote online for Ryan by visiting the following website: http://www.mcvip.me/paintthepig

You'll need to enter your email and a password...and only one vote is permitted per email entered.  Voting ends Sunday March 16th.

The winner will receive game tickets, throw a pre-game pitch and their design painted on a pig on display at the stadium - just inside of the main gates!

Congratulations to Ryan, and thank you for your help/support.

Spaghetti Dinner a HUGE Success

Congratulations to our 6th Grade students for providing an outstanding Spaghetti Dinner this past Saturday night! There was a great turn-out, the baskets were awesome, the food was excellent, and everyone did an amazing job of serving the guests! A special thank you to the parents of the 6th Grade students (6th Grade Committee and volunteers) who made the evening run as smoothly as it did. I'm sure you all were exhausted by the end of the evening, but it was certainly worth it! You all were fantastic and certainly showed your MOORE PRIDE!

Great job everyone...Spaghetti Dinner, a Moore tradition!

Environmental Club Meeting on Tuesday

With the inclement weather today, and the threat of additional
inclement weather arriving later Tuesday and into Wednesday, the
Environmental Club meeting for Tuesday has been cancelled. If you know
of anyone involved in E.C. that does not view the blog or Facebook
page, please pass along this information.

We are unsure if Mad Science and Ski Club will cancel...we will have
to wait and see, unless I am informed this evening. As soon as I hear,
I will post the information on the blog and Facebook.
