Thank You!

We would like to take a moment to thank all of the students, faculty, parents/guardians, and community for a wonderful 2011-2012 school year. We hope that you all have a ver safe and exciting summer break, and we look forward to seeing you back in at Moore in September.

To the departing 6th grade class...congratulations on a terrific year and a fantastic elementary experience during your years at Moore. You are truly an awesome class...and we all wish you the best of luck in the Middle School!

A special thank you to Mrs. Ditty, Mrs. Laury and Mr. Loch, who are all retiring this year! You all had such an amazing impact on our school and the students, as well as the faculty! You will be missed, and never will be able to be replaced! Best wishes on a healthy and happy retirement!

Homeroom Assignments for 2012-2013

June 4, 2012

Parents/Guardians,

As the school year comes to a close, the faculty/staff and administration at the elementary schools will be developing the homeroom assignments for the following school year.  We will be focusing our time on developing balanced classes in which all children will have an opportunity to learn and grow, both academically and socially.

The report card for the fourth marking period will not have a homeroom listed for the 2012-2013 school year, only the grade level.  The homerooms will be finalized over the summer, and each elementary school will post their homeroom rosters at their buildings and on their individual websites on or about August 1st.  Please note that the homerooms will be listed according to the students' personal ID numbers; no names will be listed.  Your student's personal ID number is located on their report card behind the student name (six-digit number).

The Elementary schools make every effort to place students in a homeroom in which they will experience the highest level of personal success.  It is not the practice of the Northampton Area School District to place students into specific homerooms based on "parental preference".  If you have information that you wish to discuss with the Principal, specific to your student's homeroom placement, please contact your school's office to schedule an appointment.

We thank you for your support during the 2011-2012 school year, and hope you have a wonderful summer break.  We look forward to the 2012-2013 school year, and hope to experience the same successes that we had in previous school years.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Carrie Beleno, Borough Principal

Mrs. Maria Pulli, Borough Assistant Principal

Mrs. Robyn Ginther, George Wolf Principal

                Mrs. Lori Kuhns, Lehigh Principal

            Mr. Curtis Dimmick, Moore Principal

Congratulations!

Congratulations to all of the students and staff at Moore for a
terrific year with the "Moore Pride" positive behavior support
program! Everyone did an outstanding job with the implementation of
the program, and following the expectations outlined for students at
the beginning of the year! We had thousands of paw-tickets and
hundreds of "roars" handed out of students and classrooms over the
year!

As a thank you, and to celebrate the success of the program...the
students and staff will be having a celebration Thursday, May 24th
throughout the day at school. All students will participate in viewing
a Lazer Show in the morning, and will rotate through a water ice
party, Just Dance marathon, and a chance to "purchase" some last
minute rewards off of the cart during the afternoon. The day will also
include a dunk tank, in which students will have a chance to dunk some
of the teachers...and their Principal, Mr. Dimmick!

Students and staff are asked to wear Moore attire to help celebrate
the school...and we're hoping "Whiskers" the Lion will make an
appearance throughout the day!

Also, we'd like to congratulate the students of Bus 19 and their
driver, Mr. Thrash, for winning the "Great Bus Race" ...and those
students and their driver will receive a pizza party tomorrow as well!
It was a close race, but Bus 19 earned over 70 tickets for outstanding
behavior on their bus the last two months!

Thank you to everyone for being "Respectful, Responsible, Ready and
Safe" and showing their Moore Pride!
