On Saturday, November 19th, some members of the Moore faculty got together to play a friendly game of flag football. The final score was 3-2, and everyone had a blast! Thankfully, there were only some sore muscles when the game ended, and no serious injuries. Mr. Muschlitz took home MVP honors with a 60-yd. TD reception and rumble from Mr. Hefflfinger for the winning score with 1:00 left. Soecial thanks to Ms. Valimont for organizing the game and to the MTAA for allowing us to use the field (and setting it up like a real game)!

Members playing were:
Row 1, kneeling left to right - Ms. Berrios, Ms. Laury, Ms. Biechy, Ms. Valimont, Ms. Hartzell, Ms. Shaner, Ms. Miller and Ms. Haley

Row 2, standing left to right - Ms. Cramer, Mr. Muschlitz, Mr. Dimmick, Ms. Heffelfinger, Mr. Heffelfinger, Ms. Dremock, Ms. Klitsch, Ms. Dalton and Ms. Schucker

Holiday Concert Update

Attention, Attention

5th and 6th Grade Chorus Members:

To avoid overcrowding the gymnasium and parking lot we will be performing our concert on two nights this year. The first concert is Monday, December 19th at 7:00 P.M. This concert will feature the 5th and 6th Grade Chorus and the Intermediate Band. Tuesday, December 20th at 7:00 P.M. will be the second concert, which will feature the 5th and 6th Grade Chorus and the Intermediate Orchestra. Chorus members are expected to attend both evening concerts. Due to limited space parents will not be permitted to attend the concert during the school day.

We ask that parents and family members of the 6th grade chorus attend the concert on Monday evening, and 5th grade chorus parents and family members attend the concert on Tuesday evening. If your child is in band or orchestra please attend on the night of their instrumental concert.

Thank you,

Mrs. Hageman, Mrs. Young & Mr. Baer

Joe Corbi's Fundraiser Pick-up

Just a friendly reminder that the Moore PTA Joe Corbi's Fundraiser pickup is Monday Nov. 14th from 4:30 to 6:30pm in the APR.  All items need to be picked-up, due to the limited space for storage (too many items need refrigeration).  Please be sure to stop by and pick-up your fundraising items.

Also, the classrooms who earned a pizza party for the classroom most sales (total) and the students who received a free pizza kit for the most individual sales, will be posted on the lobby doors on Wednesday (Nov. 9).

Holiday Drives - Helping those Who Need

Moore Elementary School will be running a food drive during the month of November.  Beginning November 8th and running through November 21st, we will be collecting non-perishable food to distribute to local families in need.  This will be done through cooperation with local food banks.  Students and their families can drop-off their items at the school in our front lobby area, or give them to their teacher.

Beginning December 1st and running through December 15th, Moore will be participating in our annual Toys for Tots program.  We are collecting new, unwrapped gifts for local children identified through the Salvation Army.  The Toys for Tots program is sponsored by the United States Marine Corps, and we will be working with the USMC Reserve Unit located in the Lehigh Valley.  A donation box will be located in the Moore lobby beginning December 1st, and students/families are invited to drop-off their donations at any time.  A full-dress USMC Reserve will be at Moore on December 15th to collect all of the donations, and will also take donations directly from the students beginning at 8:45am.  What a great opportunity for our students!  this is the 27th year that Moore will be participating in the Toys for Tots program!

We thank you in advance for helping local families in need, and supporting the efforts of Moore Elementary School!

A BIG Thank You from PTA!

The 6th Graders would like to thank our local sponsors for making our CAR WASH and HALLOWEEN DANCE possible, and successful.

We received donations from:
Hidden Pine Tree Farms
Moore Tire Center
Mike's Seal Coating
Scott's Auto Body
The Shuman's
Giant and PathMark
Mrs Valimont
As well as all the help from our students and parents.

It is wonderful what can happen when we all pull together.
